ExxonMobil, in partnership with Louisiana Economic Development, is launching an initiative to bolster the Baton Rouge area tech sector by investing in virtual reality training for the company’s recently announced polyolefins plant expansion project. The virtual reality initiative, along with ExxonMobil’s proposed small business resource center in north Baton Rouge, are two community investments tied to the company’s major plant expansion project, worth more than $500 million, announced in March.

RPG dungeon crawler The Mage’s Tale, a former Oculus exclusive, is set to launch on Steam for the HTC Vive on March 23rd. Developer inXile Entertainment has also confirmed that the title is in development for PSVR.

Road Redemption, a PC (and eventual console game) by Pixel Dash Studios, is a love letter to the original Road Rash series to the nth degree. And it also happens to be the better than the thing it is emulating thanks to some well executed roguelite elements, and much faster gameplay.
A few months ago, the guys from Binary Solo packed up their van for another episode of Indie Van Game Jam and drove to meet us in our Baton Rouge studio. Indie Van Game Jam is a web series where a group of indie game developers build an entire video game in the style of their hosts studio from scratch in the time it takes to drive to the studio. This episode highlighted Pixel Dash’s developer-for-hire culture, and it gives a good sneak peak into what life is like in our office.
